I’m trying to understand the minimum service period required to be eligible for gratuity in UAE. I’ve heard that you need to complete at least 1 year, but I’m not fully sure how it works. What happens if someone leaves before completing a year? Do they get anything or not? Also, how does the calculation start after becoming eligible? I checked a MOHRE Gratuity Calculator UAE to get an idea, but I’d like to understand the actual rule clearly.
