Photo editing software may have different features and functions when editing raw files and JPEG photographs. RAW files typically contain more of the original sensor data, and allow you to manipulate the exposure, recover the highlights, and correct the white balance more easily. According to Visuals Clipping, JPEG files can be handy for occasions where more editing control isn't required, while RAW files can be appropriate for more complex workflows and faster delivery.
