FH6 Hidden Locations: Tips for Aspiring Master Explorers
Clear the Fog of War Early
The map starts out mostly hidden. Driving into new areas gradually reveals:
  • Event icons
  • Shortcut routes
  • Bonus boards
Focusing on uncovering the map early helps you unlock Fast Travel points and gain steady XP. Hit every road you see, even the tiny side streets—they often hide bonus boards or rare car spawns.
Use Drone Mode to Scout
When you’re stuck trying to locate a Barn Find or a hidden collectible, switch to Drone Mode. This allows you to:
  • Scan large areas from above
  • Check rooftops, alleyways, and cliffs
  • Spot hidden garages or rare car spawns
It’s especially useful in dense Tokyo districts or the mountainous northern regions.
Progress the Story
Many hidden spots don’t appear until you advance through the campaign. Completing Horizon Adventures or specific accolades will:
  • Trigger rumors for Barn Finds
  • Reveal hidden collectibles
  • Unlock special Fast Travel locations
Keeping up with the story ensures you’re not missing key areas early.
Hunt for Bonus Boards
There are two main types of bonus boards:
  1. XP Boards – Provide instant experience points for your driver.
  2. Fast Travel Boards – Lower the cost of traveling across the map. Eventually, you can unlock free fast travel, which is a huge time-saver.
Must-Visit Hidden Locations
  • Tokyo’s Urban Alleys – Dense, narrow streets are easy to miss on the main map. They often contain XP boards, Regional Mascots, or rare car spawns.
  • Mountain Touges – Winding mountain roads inspired by real Japanese touges. Perfect for honing drifting and precision skills.
  • Hidden Time Attack Circuits – Scattered across the map, including a northern circuit and one near the coastal docks.
  • Legend Island Race Track – A special track reserved for players who reach higher tiers or early-access content.
New Hidden Mechanics
  • Rare Free Roam Cars – FH6 now places rare aftermarket builds randomly in the open world. Find one and you can buy it instantly without visiting the Auction House.
  • Regional Mascots – These collectibles are hidden in specific biomes. They’re essential for 100% exploration completion.
Track Your Progress
Use the FH6 Interactive Map to:
  • Log each collectible and bonus board in real-time
  • Track which areas of Tokyo, the mountains, and coastal regions you’ve fully explored
  • Plan efficient routes for completing your Collection Journal
By combining map clearing, story progression, and careful scouting, you’ll earn your Master Explorer status faster and enjoy every hidden corner of Japan.
